Elo’s Cakes is owned and run by local Kiwi baker and cake extraordinaire Daniella based in Auckland’s North Shore of Hibiscus Coast, New Zealand. Not only are her creations delicious and extremely beautiful but she has an inspiring business mindset to match, promoting inclusivity in the work environment and choosing to employ those with special needs like my very own sister Sophie! Elo’s Cakes | Home Made Goodness

Daniella believes in authentic home baking, tailored recipes with influences from Chile and her family of bakers. She has a huge love of cooking and baking with real ingredients, creating elegant classic morsels of delight. It’s all about wholesome home made goodness at Elo’s cakes, and this is evident through the variety of options available including cakes, slices, and cookies. When you buy from Elo’s cakes, you’re not just buying and supporting a local new Zealand small business, but you’re also supporting the work opportunities for people with special needs. My very own sister Sophie who is 21, enjoys working with Daniella and also selling at the markets on the weekends. Sophie has a part in creating the products, learning the process of making to selling including getting hands on at the markets and taking orders. Daniella is very passionate about promoting inclusivity as it is a big part of many workplaces in Chile, and she wants to see this happen here in New Zealand too. It’s a win-win for everyone and an aspect of small businesses that would be fantastic to see more of!

Daniella prides herself on the very best. This is obvious not only through her workplace but also in the finished product. She offers an extensive variety of intricately layered cakes, including her pride and joy. The twelve layered cake is a masterpiece that Gordon Ramsey would take his hat off to! Nothing short of luxury, she also offers a high tea service, so you can experience an entire selection of her delicious creations at your next event, celebration or special occasion in Auckland.
