I am always a girly girl at heart but this look is pretty + effortless, and for the beginning of summer this colour palette is my go to. I found a rad textured wall at Corban Estate that was the perfect backdrop in front of a blue sky one evening, and I love the fresh feel of this outfit.
It's not often I fall in love with a pair of pants. Usually I gravitate towards the feminine styles either full skirts or dresses. For casual wear leggings in all various types are my go-to. These white chinos from Sussan are amazing! I love that they are white so match really well with lots of pieces in my wardrobe for summer, and because they're made of a thick cotton they will wash and wear really well too. Natural fibres tend to be a lot longer lasting and durable than synthetics from my experience.
I actually love pony tails for general wear, my problem is giving them enough volume. I have very fine hair and it's naturally straight, so I found that curling and prepping my hair before hand really helped create that cute bouncy pony. I'll be looking into the options of extensions over the next few months and I'll write up a post on how it goes.
I get pretty excited when all my accessories match and these sunnies from Rubi Shoes went perfectly with the rest of my cobalt blue pieces. The bow I'm wearing I collected a long time ago, back when eQUIP was still around, but there are similar ones available at kid's clothing stores and especially on Etsy.com.
The lightweight poplin cotton the top is made from is great for warmer weather, and could even make fantastic resort wear for those summer holidays. It creases a little but if it's kept hung up then it's pretty minimal. It has a neckline of ruffles made from the same fabric, and can be tucked into the pants or left out. I prefer it tucked in as I like to accentuate my waist.
The shoes were a trial for me, I got them from Factorie and I quite like the look, although next time I would probably go for something more feminine. I have very narrow feet so this style wasn't the best for me, and was a little too bulky. I like the silver clasps though and the flats go really well with the chinos.
The pants have pockets on the back, and some on the front, but it's not possible to keep much in them as they are fitted and also white so slightly see through with objects inside. I kept my makeup pretty natural for this look, I have been using my Maybelline 'Colour Drama' lip pencils and this one is called 'Minimalist'. I prefer it over the other nude one as it has a little more pink in it, but it's still good for day wear.
